The last days before the feast…
After much hard thought, I decided not to go to the Grands this year. Between school this semester and everything else, I decided to commit for Reno. I did not go to Tulsa last year–it was my hiatus–so Thanksgiving will be nice spending it again here at home. Good luck to everyone going there. Enjoy yourselves, especially when you have to wait for forever. And be safe.
Well, it looks like at this point I will be attending the U in fall 2009. After meeting with the Academic Advisor in Chemical Engineering and the engineering advisor at SLCC; I decided that I will take a few of the prepatory classes at SLCC during the spring and summer semester. Those classes being Elementary Chemistry I (in the spring) and II (during the summer) with the lab, Physics 2210 & 2220 and the lab, and finally Calculus II. I want to confirm this with the academic advisor at the U before I set anything into stone so I have to give them a call this week.
Last week, this was all I was doing. Plus on Tuesday, something came over me and left me feeling weary the rest of the week. I have been hitting the gates at Mike Kelley’s fairly hard the past few weeks. Although my times have not improved much–in fact the times, including everyone else’s there, is slower–I think getting some gates in before the weather declines is good. Two weeks ago I started a plyometric program to work on my strength and endurance. I did it a year ago, and within the first few weeks I went from not being able to touch the rim to grabbing onto it. This will really benefit my riding from the standpoint of track speed and for when you are at the end of the rhythm section during a close race.
In the next few days I will blog out my impressions of the first part of the Utah Jazz season.
GO JAZZ!
